Head of Tanah Laut Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Sahrudin said a quick response team (TRC) for disaster handling will be formed with cross-sectoral membership from government, non-government, volunteers, and community elements.

"TRC is expected to be the answer in anticipating disasters, especially in terms of their impacts," said Sahrudin after attending the 2022 National Coordination Meeting for Disaster Management which was opened by President Joko Widodo, Wednesday (February 23, 2022).

According to him, dealing with disasters is a solution so that the impacts do not get worse.

"Everyone really doesn't want a disaster, afer all, we have to handle to anticipate the bad impact on the community," he pointed out.

With the National Coordination Meeting, he said, it will strengthen the synergy of all stakeholders so they can carry out disaster management optimally.

"In principle the duty of handling disaster is not the responsible of BPBD alone. All stakeholders are directly involve," he said.

From Tanah Laut, the 2022 National Coordination Meeting for Disaster Management was also attended virtually by Assistant for Government and People's Welfare, Commander of 1009/Tanah Laut Military Command, Police Chief represented by Chief Operation of Tanah Laut Police, Head of Social Agency, Head of PUPRP Office, Head of DPRKPLH, and other invited guests.
