Jhonlin Group introduced the world of mining to high school students throughout Tanah Bumbu District in a Jhonlin Goes To School program which was held at the state vocational high school SMKN 1 Simpang Empat, Wednesday (February 23, 2022).

Jhonlin socialized about occupational health and safety (K3) then followed-up with visiting mine sites or mining tour with students from seven schools.

The seven schools were SMKN 1 Simpang Empat, SMKN 2 Simpang Empat, SMAN 1 Simpang Empat, SMKS Kodeco Simpang Empat, SMKS Bangun Banua, SMKS Tunas Bangsa Batulicin, and SMKS Al Hidayah Batulicin.

In addition to mine site, the students were also invted to a work site in the Trambesi pit, symbolically planting trees, group photos at the Bengkiray  pit, followed by vsiting DSP jetty 1 port and closed with lunch at the nursery area of PT JB's Sungai Dua site.

The principal of SMKN 1 Simpang Empat Amran Ali hoped that this activity could be a funnel of information to the public that the mining process does not only explore natural resources, but there are continuous improvement effort by the company.

"We thank you Jhonlin Group for carrying out this excellent activities, in addition to children getting new experiences, they can add sight and knowledge directly from the company," he said.

Doctor Fadly Wirawan said K3 socialization would be able to increase the students' awareness of the importance of protecting environment.

The accompanying of mining tour participant from SMKN 1 Simpang  Empat, Eko Wijaya, hopes that activities like this to continue, even the company can become guest teacher at schools in Tanah Bumbu.
