Two areas in Tapin District, South Kalimantan, were swamped by flood, causing hundreds of residents were affected. 

"The rain was high this morning, but the water has receded," said Head of Tapin Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Said Abdul Nasir, Monday (February 7, 2022). 

In Lalapin Hamlet, Piani Sub-district, 10 houses were affected, there were 42 residents living in the houses.

At several points in the area the water level was about one meter, it has inundated the road and disrupting traffic. 

Then in Labuhan Permai Housing Complex, Tapin Utara sub-district, which is adjacent to Bitahan River. BPBD recorded 60 houses inhabited by 120 residents were affected.
