A total of 2,206 students of the Banjarmasin State Polytechnic (Poliban) wlll be trained, especially about discipline, at the Headquarter of the TNI VI/Mulawarman Military Regiment (Rindam) in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan.

Poliban Director Joniriadi here on Tuesday said the students sent to the Rindam Headquarters were a combined batch of 2020 and 2021. "The plan is the activity to be in February after they finished their semester exam," he said.

They will trained in discipline, mental and physical guidance, as well as to forge their national insight.

"So that our students will love the the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and have a strong nationalist spirit," he said.

Cooperation with TNI, especially Rindam Mulawarman Headquarters, according to Joniriadi, had been established for a long time. Thus such activity is held every year for new students.

"However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2021 it was delayed," he said.

The, after the situation is starting to return to normal, by applying strict health protocols, Poliban's collaboration with Rindam Mulawarman was continued.

"Today we sign an MoU wih Rindam," he said.

The Commander of Rindam VI/Mulawarman Colonel Inf. Freddino Janen Silalahi said he welcomed the Poliban to send it students to take a short education at the Rindam.

"Thank you, we are again given the trust to train mentally, phyisically, defend the country, and nation insight  the students of Poliban," he said.

"Indeed there will be physical and mental exercises, but not like miliary exercise, yes, we will adjust them according to the students' abilities," he said.
