Wall climbing athlete from Tabalong Zaskia Al Zahra won a gold medal in the National Age Group Wall Climbing in Banda Aceh, Aceh, held from November 18 to 25, 2021.
Zaskia won the fastest in the final women's Speed Classic Youth C category over her rival Indie Maharanee, a climbing athlete from Bali.
Since the preliminary round, Zaskia had recorded a total time of 24.29 seconds that put her at rank one over participants from various regions in Indonesia.
During round 16 which used a knockout system, Zaskia without difficulty left her opponents behind.
Until the final round, Zahra still dominated as the fastest. She only compete in one of two lanes set by the committee with a time of 10.80 seconds.

Meanwhile, Zaskia's parent, Mawarni, said she was grateful for what her daughter had achieved at the national championship. She hopes that she remains humble and give her best in the category to be followed next, women's Lead Youth C.
“Alhamdulillah (thank God), my daughter can make the region proud by winning a gold medal,” said Mawarni.
South Kalimantan has so far is in 4th place by winning 4 medals, 2 gold and 2 bronze, under East Java, DKI Jakarta, and Yogjakarta.
