The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Regional Secretary H. Muhammad Noor said that the district government has so far inoculated 179,527 COVID vaccines for its residents.
"As of November 10, 2021, 59,138 people or 38.51 percent (of the target) have received the first dose of vaccine and 43,152 people or 24.08 percent the second dose," he said as he attended an online coordination meeting for the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination in South Kalimantan.
The meeting which was centered at the Idham Chalid Hall of the provincial government offices in Banjarbaru was chaired and directed by Governor H. Sahbirin Noor.
According to the secretary, the district government enthusiastically continues to expedite the achievement of the target. All ranks in HSS were optimistic with the assistance of the governor to fulfill the target.
The meeting, that concerning the national target to achieve 70 percent vaccination of the total population by the end of December 2021, was directed the need for acceleration by identifying targets who have not been received vaccine jab to the level of neighborhood unit (RT) and community unit (RW). Each village should hold vaccination.
Head of South Kalimantan Health Agency H. Muhamad Muslim said that the province has 3,161,147 people as a target. Until November 6, 2021, the first dose has been inoculated to 1,276,800 people or 40.39 percent, and the second dose to 788,075 people or 24.93 percent.
From HSS, the virtual coordination meeting was attended by the Regional Secretary, representative of Kodim 1003/HSS Captain Inf. Syaiful Bahri, Head of Public Order and Fire Brigade Agency (Satpol PP and Damkar) H. Iwan Friady, Head of Communication and Informatics Agency Hj. Rahmawaty, Head of Village Community Empowerment Susilo Adianto, and Head of Disaster Mitigation Agency H. Syamsuddin.
