Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The central government plans to spend Rp15 billion to restructure Kotabaru's Kemakmuran Market, after a fire destroyed 50 stalls in April 2015.


It is an encouraging news for the district over the odds to get the budget allocation for the arrangement of the market, said member of Commission II DPRD Kotabaru H Genta Kusan on the sidelines of a working visit in the framework of consultation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry on Thursday.  

"The results of the consultation meeting, the Ministry of Trade and Industry provides a budget of Rp15 billion, up 50 percent from the previous allocation of Rp10 billion," said H Gegen, as he is sometimes called.

The budget increase, he added, because the central government policy that does not allow counterpart fund from local budget, so as not to burden the local concerned.

But along with the good news for Kotabaru for the additional allocation, the central government considered there are some things that must be done related to proposals to the central government.

After reviewing the proposal, the central government assessing it still lacked, including a chronology of the founding of the market, its development up to the present conditions.

By Commission II it will be followed up by holding a working meeting with the executive, particularly related SKPD in Kotabaru to reorder the proposal to enhance the points that prompted by the central government.
