Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Tanah Laut Regent H Bambang Alamsyah attended the harvest of paddy in the village of Sungai Riam, Sub-district of Pelaihari, Monday (27/7).
Also present Danrem (Commander of Regional Military) 101/Antasari Col. Inf Muhammad Abduh Ras, Vice Regent H Sukamta, Dandim (Commander of District Military) 1009/Pelaihari Lt. Col. Hasto Prasetyo, Head of Agricultural and Plantation Agency Nor Hidayat, and Chief BP4 H Abdurahman Inani.
"We must be thankful for the harvest of rice today, because some other areas has no harvest. I look forward in the future of the central and provincial governments could assist in improving agriculture in this area," Regent said.
He said, in addition to the harvest event, also conducted on how to use new technology tools.
According to him, the local government always helps to keep agricultural land in the Tanah Laut more advanced and well developed.
To improve agricultural production, he said, one of them with the use of high yielding varieties and good irrigation treatment.
"I am very grateful to the TNI (military) for helping in implementing food security programs in the Tanah Laut," he explained.
Danrem 101/Antasari Colonel Muhammad Abduh Ras asserted, the effort to increase agricultural production must be carried out cooperation and help each other so that any program can be run properly successful.
"TNI has always supported and helped increase agricultural output of the Tanah Laut," he said.
