The City Government of Banjarmasin opened Kuin Kacil (Little Kuin) as new tourist destination.
It offers the natural beauty of the forest, flows of rivers, and trees of typical lowlands of South Kalimantan.
Little Kuin is on the outskirt of the city. It is in Mantuil Urban Village, in the south part of Banjarmasin.
Mayor H Ibnu Sina, when inaugurated the opening of Little Kuin as a new tourist destination, hopes that it has an impact to increase the economy, especially for the local residents.
The city, he said, has to develop tourism for the sake of the development of the economy, so as not to depend merely on services and trade.
Banjarmasin now has 45 tourist destinations. The Mayor hopes, in the future normal situation or when the pandemic can be controlled, tourism will moves optimally, and the city has many options for tourists to visit.
He asked for continuous efforts to improve the tourism infrastructure, including in Little Kuin, to attract tourists to come.
He believes by continuously improving the facilities and infrastructure, the tourist attraction will quickly go viral.
