A number of farmers in Banjar District received a capital grant from Youth Entrepreneur and Employment Support Services (YESS) program.

Banjar Regent Saidi Mansyur along with Deputy Regent Habib Idrus Al-Habsyie and District Secretary M Hilman handed over the assistance on the sideline of the Banjar government's weekly coordination meeting in Martapura, Monday (Sept 20, 2021). 

The YESS competitive grant was handed over to seven millennial farmers with a total fund of Rp489.9 million, with details of Abdul Rohim (marketing of rubber processing material) received Rp84 million.

Hendra Prasetyo (breeding goat) Rp94.5 million, M Noor (chicken farming) Rp78 million, M Subki (laying duck farming) Rp75 million, Syarwani (duck farming) Rp44.7 million, Rifana Ayu Wardani (goat breeding) Rp57 million, and Riki Yakub (duck farming) Rp56.7 million.

Then Regent Saidi Mansyur handed over a souvenir to Budi Santos as a person in charge of the South Kalimantan YESS Program.

He said in his direction that the priority activities of the government working units (SKPD) are adjusted to the vision and mission of the district's Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) and must be in the real form of what to achieve.

"This is considering that our budget for next year will be less than the previous year. So, we must be creative, more efficient in using the budget going forward," said the Regent.
