Head of Banjarmasin Health Agency Machli Riyadi announcing that the city is now in the status of level 3 public activity restriction (PPKM).
Machli Riyadi declared the status after visiting the Ministry of Health to coordinate and harmonize data to determine the level of PPKM of Banjarmasin City.
"Right now we are on the 10th floor at the information and data center of the Ministry of Health. We have just attended a coordination meeting and data harmonization to determine the level of PPKM," he said in a video release from Jakarta, Tuesday.
Machli Riyadi was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of DPRD Banjarmasin Matnor Ali to the ministry. He said that Banjarmasin was declared by the Ministry of Health to have completed the status of PPKM level 4.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), today there is an understanding that Banjarmasin City as of September 12, 2021, has been at the level 3 PPKM," he pointed out.
According to him, as a result of the meeting, the city government will make efforts to strengthen the tracking of COVID-19 transmission.
"We will also improve data input system and evaluation of all people being treated in the hospitals, so it is truly valid," he said.

Based on weekly and daily data, the transmission of COVID-19 in the city has indeed decreased sharply, thus it deserved to be at level 3 of PPKM.
Banjarmasin after implementing PPKM level 4 from July 26 to September 12, 2021, was quite successful in reducing the number of COVID-19 transmissions.
"Even though PPKM level 4 has ended, do not neglect, the discipline of health protocols must be stricter, so the high transmission as not to occur again," he said.
He urged the public to actively participate in the COVID-19 vaccination to create a greater herd immunity against the virus attack.
"Let's together continue to maintain health," he said.
