Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) Office of South Kalimantan H Muhammad Tambrin states, today (Tuesday, 16/6) rukyatul hilal to be held to ensure the inclusion of the new moon of Ramadan 1436 Hijri.
Rukyatul Hilal with binoculars tool will be held on the top floor of the building of Bank BPD Kalsel starting at 16:00, Tambrin said Monday.
Head of Islamic Affairs and Islamic Guidance (Urais and Binsyar) of MORA South Kalimantan H Ahmad Sawiti explained that the rukyatul hilal activity is important to know the position of the moon as the sunset on Tuesday (16/6).
"That is for sure, if the position of the moon has entered more than two degrees above the horizon that meets the criteria imkanur rukyat or agreed by the government in determining the entry of the new moon," he explained.
This activity, he said, will be witnessed by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) South Kalimantan, South Kalimantan Hisab and Rukyah Agency, Academician of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan Religion High Court, Religious Organizations, Council of Mosques, Practitioner of Hisab and Rukyat, and elements of local MORA.
"So whatever the outcome later we witness here either see or not will be reported to the Ministry of Religious Affairs center," he said.
According to him, the certainty of the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan 1436 H will be decided by the central government and will be officially announced by Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Syaifuddin.
"If it happens a difference of opinion in determining the start of Ramadan later, we respect each other," he said.
