Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin remains in a conducive state to the Labour Day on Friday (1/5). Although there were some rallies, but all were conducted peacefully.
"The results of monitoring and coordination with field coordinator, Banjarmasin since last night until today can be said in a conducive situation," said police chief Kombes Pol Drs Wahyono MH here on Friday.
He said, the conducive of Banjarmasin can be seen in the entire city's community activities running smoothly as it should.
He said it was true about 16:00 until 18:00 there were some rallies, but all were within normal limits and not disturbance to society.
Although the situation is conducive, Banjarmasin Police assisted by South Kalimantan Regional Police still making efforts to minimize the possibility of escalation of security and public order disturbances associated with the commemoration of Labor Day.
Banjarmasin Police prepared 569 personnel of police forces supported by 33 personnel of mobile brigade (Brimob) and 30 personnel quick response police unit (Ditsabhara).
Banjarmasin Police also conduct special security at Trisakti Port area by deploying 60 personnel.
