Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tanah Bumbu Narcotics Unit Police captured a housewife who is known as crystal methamphetamine courier.
"The woman has long been the target of our operation. When arrested we found evidence of crystal meth," said Chief of Narcotics unit Police AKP Suryanthi SH in Tanah Bumbu, Friday.
K (35), housewife, was caught with evidence of five packets of crystal meth stored in plastic bags, on Wednesday (22/4) at around 15:30 pm in her house at Jalan Desa Manunggal Kodeco km 14, Block A, Karang Bintang sub-district.
To the officer, K confessed to already 6 months doing illicit business only to meet economic needs of her family. Her income is only Rp50,000 each delivery. She said, it was enough for eating and shopping every day.
She was charged with Article 112 Narcotics Law No. 35 of 2009 Regarding Narcotics, under penalty of a minimum 4 years and a fine of up to billions of rupiah.
"This case will continue to be developed and K continues to be interrogated to determine where the illicit goods came from," said AKP Suryanthi.
