Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Police saved 17,000 drug users kind of crystal methamphetamine or sabu-sabu after capturing two dealers with a large enough evindence.


"We have seized crystal methamphetamine weighing nearly 500 grams and of the arrest the police have saved 17,000 lives in this region," said Banjarmasin Police Deputy Chief Superintendent Dwi Ariwibowo here on Monday.

He said police ranks, especially West and East Banjarmasin Sector Police, has made the arrest of two actors with a big evidence of methamphetamine.
 
West Banjarmasin Sector Police arrested NM, resident of Gambut sub-district, Banjar District, South Kalimantan, with evidence about 300 grams plus three small package of sabu-sabu.

The second catch done by East Banjarmasin Sector Police to IM, resident of Kelayan A, South Banjarmasin, with evidence of 51 grams.

"For the second number of the evidence when assessed with money ranging from Rp425 million and 17,000 people were saved drug users," he said while holding the case in Banjarmasin Police Narcotics Unit.

Dwi kept saying Banjarmasin Police ranks will continue to take decisively action against the perpetrators who dared to commit drug trafficking in the jurisdiction of Banjarmasin Police.

Local Police have also made a map of vulnerability. Areas which are allegedly prone to circulation of illicit goods, making it easy to conduct investigations and surveillance later.
