A number of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, officials took their action for a mutual work (gotong royong) to clean up, to create a clean and green environment.
"We also assisted by joint officers from three SKPD (government working units), namely Housing, settlement Areas, and Land Agency (Disperkimtan), Environment Agency, and Satpol PP dan Damkar (Public Order and Firefighting Agency)," said Head of Disperkimtan H. Ansyari Firdaus in Batulicin, Tuesday.
He said approximately 35 combined officers from 3 SKPD cleaned the drainage and high grass covering the road shoulder.
The drainage and grass cleaning started from Jalan Batu Benawa to Jalan 5 Oktober, Simpang Empat sub-district, Batulicin.

According to Ansyari Firdaus, the activity was carried out so the city looks beautiful, neat, clean, and green.
It was also carried out to become an example and be followed by the community, as their participation is highly expected in keeping the environment clean. The main thing starts with maintaining the cleanliness of their own house environment.
"We will continue to work together to clean and green the city, so it becomes our personal mirror who assign to the Disperkimtan in realizing the strategic issue of the regional head toward Tanah Bumbu as the Veranda of Medina," he said.
