The government of Balangan District has retained an unqualified opinion (WTP) on its financial reports eight times in a row as it received the 2020 audit results from the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK-RI).

"We really appreciate the achievement of the Balangan government for maintaining WTP eight times consecutively," said Chairman of the BPK-RI branch of South Kalimantan M Ali Asyhar after handed over the audit results (LHP) of the district's 2020 financial reports.

He acknowledged that the achievements in the financial management in the Balangan government lately showed a remarkable improvement in quality.

“We give WTP with the existing indicators, namely four criteria whether the financial report is according to the standards or not,” he said.

Regent Abdul Hadi expressed his gratitude to the Balangan DPRD dan the ranks of the district government for receiving the best grade results of the audit from the BPK RI.

“We have achieved many things, and today we received from BPK-RI branch of South Kalimantan the unqualified opinion for eight times in a row. We should be grateful, thank the performance of all regional apparatus organizations within the Balangan government we win this appreciation,” he said.

This is a motivation to do better and to work according to standards set by the government. He also reminded what BPK said when providing guidance in Balangan that the opinion to be received must be correlated with four main indicators.

”Indicators that need to be paid attention including continuous effort to reduce poverty, to increase human development index, Gini ratio (Gini coefficient), and to reduce the open unemployment rate," he said.
