Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Flooding since the beginning of the year until now in most Banjar led to hundreds of kilometers of roads body damaged either heavily and lightly.


Head of Banjar District Highways and Water Resources Agency Mokhammad Hilman in Martapura on Sunday said the damage occurred in the district and village roads.

"Damages to the road reaches hundreds of kilometers, but the road damageds not extending it spread only at points of water eroded the road," he said.

Damages of roads, especially on non-permanent construction with no asphalt coated on surface, either of soil roads and rocky roads that has hardened.

The results of the data collection, the length of districts roads damaged heavy and lightly 259.82 kilometers or 33.25 percent of the length of 781.39 kilometers of roads.

Meanwhile, 346.29 kilometers or 31.01 per cent of rural roads damaged of the overall length of 1,116 kilometers, so that the steady road 770.4 kilometers.
