Tabalong District won the Tuntas Waja Sampai Kaputing Award for Sanitation and Drinking Water or what is called as Satu Wasaka Award 2020 from the provincial government of South Kalimantan.

The award was presented by Governor Sahbirin Noor to Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani virtually at the same time of South Kalimantan held a Regional Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) on April 22, 2021.

The award was obtained after going through various stages of assessment, one of which was field verification by the assessment team to the Tabalong in mid-October 2020.

The targets of assessment included Water Production Installation (IPA) of Belimbing Urban Village, Murung Pudak Sub-district, the 3R Maju Bersama garbage processing, the stool sludge treatment plant (IPLT) in Maburai Village, and the final disposal in Bongkang Village.

In addition to Tabalong, Satu Wasaka Award 2020 was also received by South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District and Banjarmasin City.

The category of Community Collaboration Innovation 2020 was received by the Banjar District and Tanah Bumbu District.
