The Tanah Laut National Alms Agency (Baznas) launched Gerakan Cinta Zakat (Love Zakat Movement) at the gathering of the district government with the Quran Reading Competition Institute (LPTQ) throughout Tanah Laut in Pelaihari, Wednesday (April 28, 2021).
The board executive of the local Baznas concurrently submitted an accountability report for the period of 2016-2021.
Regent HM Sukamta appreciated the local Baznas leadership for they had worked well dan provided benefit to zakat recipients.
"Thank you for the dedication that has been given," he said.
Sukamta also said that government employees (ASN) in the Tanah Laut District could set aside two percent of their allowance to Baznas. Then, there will be about IDR5 billion collected, considering the allowance budget reaches IDR250 billion.

Meanwhile, Sukamta expressed his pride for LPTQ Tala, who had withdrawn from the provincial MTQ in Tanah Bumbu some time ago. According to him, the decision was very appropriate for the truth that must be upheld.
Regarding the caravan that did not participate in the competition, he said, LPTQ Tala really paid attention to them. It was proved by their partaking in other competitions at the RRI Banjarmasin.
Five of them had won the competition, so they will continue to take part at the national level at RRI Palembang.
