Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin City Government plans an agricultural land acquisition by buying rambutan plantations in the sub-district of East Banjaramsin this year.
Head of Governance (Tapem) of Banjarmasin City Government Iwan Ristianto said on Wednesday 10 hectares agricultural land to be acquired is in Simpang Limau, Sungai Lulut, to be plotted as green areas and agriculture, coincidentally it is in the land area of rambutan fruit growers.
Nevertheless, he continued, the municipal government team for the exemption of agricultural land is only up to the level of preparation, and will be transferred to the National Land Agency (BPN) to do the job.
It is based on Law No. 2 of 2012, then the law 40 of 2013, which mentions the procurement process over five hectares of land is the realm of the BPN.
