Head of Culture of the Tanah Laut Education and Culture Agency (Disdikbud Tala) H Amperansyah came to the location of the discovery of bones in a jar (traditional guci) buried in the ground on Jalan Ambawang, Sarang HalangUrban Village, Thursday (Apr 1, 2021).

Amperansyah was not alone, he was accompanied by Chief of Pelaihari Police Ipda Felly Manurung.

He explained that the office temporarily secured the finding while waiting for the archeologist.

"We are waiting for archeologists from Banjarbaru to know more clearly about these objects," he explained.

He admitted that the examination will take time, so his party could not yet conclude the brittle bones in the guci.

"Later, after the results of the archeological research are available, I will tell you again," he said.

Meanwhile, Salim, a resident of Jalan Bakti, Karang Taruna Urban Village, who found the objects, said that on Tuesday afternoon (March 30, 2021) when he was cultivating the land to plant cassava seeds, his hoe made a sound like it touched a rock.

After it was checked, it turned out to be a jar (guci) covered with plates, and the plates were broken due to accidentally hoed. Its contents were thought to be brittle bones.

On Thursday, Pelaihari Police officer and Tanah Laut Education and Culture official secured the findings for examination by archeologists.
