Confirmed positive patients for COVID-19 in Barito Kuala (Batola) District, South Kalimantan, continued to show an increasing trend in February 2021.
"On Thursday (Feb 11, 2021), 10 more positive patients increased. While patients recovered are two," said a spokesperson for the Batola COVID-19 Task Force Hj Azizah Sri Widari in Marabahan.
She said the new cases came from Marabahan 3, Anjir Muara 2, Anjir Pasar 2, and each one from Alalak, Cerbon, and Mandastana.
“The patients are now undergoing independent isolation at home, 2 others in SKB quarantine, 1 in Bapelkes Banjarbaru, and 1 is treated at Ansari Saleh Hospital Banjarmasin,” she explained.
Meanwhile, two positive patients who were declared cured said Azizah, were a 50-year-old woman from Alalak and a 48-year-old woman from Tamban. The first was previously under the supervision of a sub-district COVID-19 team in Batola, while the second was under the monitor of the Bapelkes team.
The head of the Health Office said that with the new addition now the total confirmed cases in Batola were 1,237 consisting of 1,080 recovered (87.31 percent), died 15 (1.21 percent), and 142 active cases (11.48 percent).
In addition, she added, there are 20 suspect cases and 130 close contacts.
