The state-owned enterprises (BUMN) Task Force in South Kalimantan started the launching of National Donor Action for Convalescent Plasma Therapy from BUMN for Indonesia here with ten pouches of convalescent plasma.
The convalescent plasma donor action throughout Indonesia was opened virtually by SOE Minister Erick Thohir and Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) H Yusuf Kalla and here the South Kalimantan SOE Task Force carried it out at the PMI branch in Banjarmasin, Monday.
"At the launching, 10 BUMN employees in our area are ready to donate convalescent plasma," said Chairperson of the Task Force Emiliana Ririn Purworini.
According to her, the blood donation activities to combat COVID-19 will continue to be carried out for SOE employees as well as their families who were recovered from COVID-19.
"We will record SOE employees here who are eligible to convalescent plasma donation," said the Vice President of BRI Banjarmasin Regional Office.
Chairman of PMI Banjarmasin H Rusdiansyah appreciated the SOE Task Force action. "Hopefully it will encourage our friends to take part in convalescent plasma," he said.
Head of the Banjarmasin PMI Blood Donation Unit dr H Aulia Ramadhan Supit said when selecting BUMN families ten people passed, so their blood was taken today.
According to him, anyone who meets the requirements for a convalescent plasma donor is a survivor from confirmed positive COVID-19 and meets other tests, including age, body weight, and other till HIV.
