Commander (Dandim) of 1010 Rantau Military Command Lt.Col.(Inf) Andi Sinrang led the Rantau City sterilization action by spraying disinfectants, distributing 1,500 masks, and educating the public in an effort to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19.
"The action starts from the 1010 Rantau Military Command (Kodim) Headquarters, then Protocol Road, Rantau Baru, Jalan Mtq, continued to Sirang Pitu Roundabout, to Simpang Empat Kupang, Kraton Rantau Market, and other public places," he said, Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the public is educated and is expected to apply 5 M, namely wearing masks, keeping a distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobility.

Tapin Police Chief AKBP Pipit Subiyanto added that preventing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic will be successful if all elements of society, including government, law enforcement officials, and civil society agreed and united to enforce health protocols.
“Insya Allah (God Willing) all will be health, if all elements of society, all stakeholders unite and support,” he said.
The action deployed 131 personnel consisting of 45 personnel from Kodim 1010/Rantau, Tapin Police 43, Satpol PP 15, Transportation Agency 10, Health Agency 5, Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) 5, Orari Tapin 8.
