Health workers got the first COVID shots as North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District beginning vaccination, while the Regent H Abdul Wahid HK together with Forkopimda (the district Leadership Communication Forum) came down the road to socialize health protocol and handed out masks to the public.

"Even though we have launched COVID-19 vaccination, the discipline and enforcement of health protocol still ongoing," said the Regent, Monday.

When the action was carried out, they still found residents were not wearing masks. The Regent and Forkopimda officials immediately stopped them, educated them, and giving them face masks.

As the chief of COVID-19 Task Force, the Regent hopes that the socialization of health protocol would not be relaxed, although the vaccination was beginning to be carried out.

COVID-19 vaccine, he said, could not completely stop the spread of coronavirus if it is not balanced with the discipline of residents in applying health protocol, by wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and frequently washing with soap and running water.

Wahid said the Task Force could carry out socialization in various ways by looking at the target people, in order for the information could be conveyed and understood by the people.
