PT Pertamina assisted by the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) from Sjamsudin Noor Air Base distributed fuel right to Meratus Mountains' Datar Ajab Village, Hantakan Sub-district, the worst hit by floods in Central Hulu Sungai (HST), Thursday (Jan 28, 2021).

The fuel was transported using BNPB's chopper by applying sling load or hung on the M18-AMT chopper operated by a pilot from Russia.

Pertamina South and Central Kalimantan's SAM Retail Drestanto Nandiwardhana said the distribution was to meet the need of kerosene of Datar Ajab villagers.

"This is the Pertamina Care activity for flood disaster in South Kalimantan," he said.

Pertamina distributed six drums of fuel, namely three drums of Pertamax and three drums of kerosene.

Datar Ajab is the farthest village affected by flood with road access hit by landslides and can only be accessed on foot. Terrain conditions are very extreme, causing vulnerability if assistance supplied by land.

Babinsa (a village supervisory non-commissioned officer) of 1002-07/Pagat Sub-district Military Command Second Sgt Sapto and Second Corporal Subiyanto when securing the distribution said that the access road hit by a landslide due to floods and could not be passed by vehicles.
