Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin said he had asked the President Joko Widodo help to resolve land compensation for the development of Banjarmasin's Syamsudin Noor Airport.


Governor, after receiving the House of Representatives' Commission II in Banjarmasin, said on Tuesday that he delivered a wide range of issues related to development in South Kalimantan at Day of the Archipelago, which was centered in Kotabaru (15/12).

One issue which is still difficult to be resolved by the provincial government is a matter of airport land compensation, which since several years in limbo so Syamsudin Noor development stunted.

According to the Governor, the central government's intervention in helping to resolve land acquisition for development Syamsudin Noor Airport is very important, in the hope the problem more quickly completed.

"Still less than 10 hectares of which have not been released. President Jokowi said he would help the provincial government of South Kalimantan so that Syamsudin Noor development can begin," he said.

Besides the issue of airport, the central government also hoped to help the development of fisheries and marine sector, and relevant ministries promised to contribute to the development of the sector in South Kalimantan.

"The central government has promised to make it easy for fishermen to get fuel, and help modernize fishing gear," he said.

When meeting President Jokowi, Rudy Ariffin also asked the central government to help build a bridge connecting the mainland and the island of Pualau Laut.

The Governor's statement answered several parties questions, who wanted Archipelago Day's success celebrations in South Kalimantan not only limited in ceremony.
