Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The South Kalimantan police's Criminal Detective Directorate (Dit Reskrimsus) seized 14 tons of diesel fuel fraud in the past week.


According to Deputy IV Tipiter (detective for special crimes) of Dit Reskrim AKBP Endang Agustina, six offenders arrested in fraud involved 14 tons of diesel fuel at two crime scenes (TKP).

The first three perpetrators were arrested in Jalan A Yani Km 76, Banjar District, with evidence of a PS truck with license plate DA 1251 KD, modified half it back into the fuel tank.

The modified trucks hold about four thousand liters of diesel fuel. The actors bought subsidized fuel at one gas station in Banjar. Then sell it to the mining in districts of Tapin. "Bought Rp7 thousand per liter at the pump, sold certainly be higher," he said.

He said the three actors who have been arrested are identified as MZG, supervisory stations, trucker initials MRA, and the buyers initials Mrs F.

Second fuel fraud cases in Tanah Laut district involved three actors, too. They are gas station supervisors with initial R, truck drivers identified as S, and the buyers initials BG.

Distortion mode is different from the first one. A subsidized diesel fuel tanker carrying 10,000 liters capacity of PT Pertamina that should be distributed to retail outlets was diverted to another place that a buyer had awaited.

According to him, the perpetrators can be prosecuted with manifold article, Article 55 of Law No. 22 of 2001 on oild and gas with the threat of five years in prison.
