Regent of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Regency H A Chairansyah signed an inscription to mark the inauguration of a public open space (RTP) which is in the City Without Slum (Kotaku) program for the Barabai Darat Urban Village, Barabai Sub-district, worth IDR1 billion, Wednesday (Nov 11, 2020).


Regent H A Chairansyah said there are many valuable values that deserve to be developed to improve the quality of life of the community in the implementation of the Kotaku program.

"It's not only about physical quantity or quality, but emphasizes more on the universal values (moral movements), the universal principles of society or good governance and sustainable development," he said.

The event was also attended by Head of the South Kalimantan Residential Infrastructure Center, Head of the HST Settlement, Head of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), Head of Health Office, Head of Barabai Sub-district, Chief of Barabai Darat Urban Village, Team Leader Program of Kotaku South Kalimantan, the HST's work unit for Kotaku Program, all coordinators of Self-help Community Organizations and beneficiaries.

He on behalf of the HST government appreciated and proud of the implementation of the program, as it is a form of the social role of a pro-people program which is expected to have a broad impact dan touch the community directly.

Coordinator of the Barabai Darat Self-help Community Organization Agus reported, "In 2020 Barabai Darat received one billion funds and will be used for sanitation, drainage, making garbage carts and building public open space (RTP)." 

"We hope that government and private institutions to take part in beautifying the public open space, so as to motivate other urban villages to build and beautify their environment," he said.
