Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Minister of Interior finally ratified the boundaries of Balangan and Tabalong district in South Kalimantan through the Regulation or Permendagri No. 66 in 2014.
"Tabalong-Balangan border ratification is finished after the publication of Permendagri number 66 in 2014, including Tabalong - Paser (East Kalimantan) - Balangan boundaries in Permendagri No. 46 in 2014," explains Head of sub-section of Area Development and Agrarian, Governance Section of Tabalong Regional Secretariat, Basuki Kurniawan, here on Thursday.
Previously, Interior Minister has endorsed the Tabalong and North Hulu Sungai (HSU) border along 27.70 kilometers through Permendagri number 65 in 2013.
While Tabalong - Paser border, added Kurniawan, has been agreed and approved covering a length of about 125 kilometers.
"Assertion teams from Directorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs along with Administration Bureau of South Kalimantan Provincial Government and each district team had previously field verification related to the border," said Kurniawan again.
With reference to Permendagri number 76 in 2012 on the assertion guidelines boundary, field verification was conducted to examine each segment of the boundary on the ground to have synchronization with the data and maps.
Meanwhile, the segment boundaries of Tabalong-East Barito (Central Kalimantan), Kurniawan said, until now there is still no agreement between the two districts, although Permendagri No. 11 of 1973 on the boundary between the province of South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan previously published.
