After continuing to decline, COVID-19 confirmed positive cases in Barito Kuala (Batola) District appeared again with eight fresh cases, Thursday (Oct 15, 2020).

Fortunately, on the same day, two patients were recovered, bringing the total active cases to 24 in Batola.  

“With the addition of eight, the Batola's total positive cases are now 662. While 630 patients recovered (95,17 percent), 8 patients died (1,20 percent). Thus the active cases are 24 (3,63 percent),” said the spokesperson of the Batola COVID-19 Emergency Response Hj Azizah Sri Widari.  

Azizah said, of the 24 active cases 13 were undergoing independent isolation and 11 were in treatment, namely two at the Anshari Shaleh Hospital Banjarmasin, 1 in SKB Marabahan Quarantine, 1 at Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin, and 7 at the Provincial Quarantine.

Meanwhile, eight fresh cases were all came from close contact, four from Marabahan Sub-district, three from Rantau Badauh, and one from Alalak. 

Regarding four positive patients from Marabahan, who are now quarantined at the Banjarbaru Hajj Dormitory, said Azizah, one of them is a six-year-old boy with a code Btl-659. 

While among three positive patients from Rantau Badauh, said the friendly woman, is an eight-year-old girl with a code Btl-662.
