Regent H Sukamta stated that Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Support Services (YESS) program is a way out for millennials in Tanah Laut to become reliable and resilient agricultural entrepreneurs, a decent source of life, and even superior to other districts. 

Sukamta explained that the Ministry of Agriculture together with the International Fund For Agricultural Development (IFAD) will create a strong and quality millennial entrepreneur through the YESS program. 

It works to facilitate the creativity of the millennial generation so they can work and to become entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector and are financed by IFAD through the YESS program.

"The YESS program is very appropriate for building young entrepreneurs, either who want to work or to do business," he said as he opened the YESS District Multi-Stakeholder Forum Program socialization here, Tuesday (Sept 15, 2020).

According to him, these two component are very important tersebut and will optimally be supported, because the future of is in the hands of young generation. 

Sukamta said, the relocation of the state capital to East Kalimantan is a big hope for Tanah Laut in the agriculture sector to become the reserve food barn.

He expected YESS program to create attractive, prospective, and profitable jobs and has an impact on reducing unemployment and urbanization.

"For related government agencies and organizations in Tanah Laut immediately take action to recruit young people to focus in agriculture. Whether they are interested in becoming entrepreneurs or professional workers, so that YESS program can run smoothly and quickly," he said.

Also attending the event, Deputy Director of National Project Management Unit (NPMU) Yudi Astomi, PM Provincial Programme Implementation Unit (PPIU) South Kalimantan Budi Santoso, heads of Tanah Laut government agencies (SKPD) and other participants.
