Head of Banjarmasin Health Office dr Machli Riyadi said based on data from 52 urban villages, only six are still in the red zone.
"Data from 52 urban villages showing there are 6 red zones, 7 yellow zones and the rest are in the green zones," he said in a press conference, Thursday (September 3, 2020).
He said this progress was inseparable from all the efforts that had been made by all parties in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19. "With the support of all parties our performance will be easier," he said.
Previously the South Kalimantan Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19's data showed as many as 2,746 residents of the city confirmed positive for COVID-19, but 2,068 people have fully recovered.

Machli Riyadi here on Wednesday said the recovery rate of the city residents infected with coronavirus was quite high lately, namely more than 70 percent.
This achievement is also inseparable from the adherence of the city residents to health protocol.
His office target the city to be free from the COVID-19 pandemic in October with the note that it must be accompanied by public compliance with the health protocol, thus it runs as expected.
"People participation in the prevention of COVID-19 must continue to be carried out," he said.
