Regent of Tanah Laut HM Sukamta said he himself had formulated a strategy to revive the economy in Bumi Tuntung Pandang (nickname of Tanah Laut).
The regent also emphasized that his government has made a special strategy, one of which is to solve COVID-19 faster.
"Apart from that, we are preparing scenarios for economic revival in Tanah Laut. After that, we will boost people's purchasing power," he said at a webinar held by the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN), Tuesday (August 25, 2020).
Sukamta said that the actions have been taken by the Tanah Laut government, including refocusing the 2020 budget, ensuring food availability during the pandemic and preparing the local food reserves.
His government also carried out the low-cost market operation, distributing 3 kg LPG to the community, providing collateral-free loans with zero percent interest program, and carrying out a movement to buy local farmers and local livestock products.
"We make it easy and safe for investment in food security, we even have Jorong industrial area equipped with Jorong Port to support investment in this area. I am optimistic that with our hard work all this crisis will pass," he concluded.
