Banjarbaru Prepares Eco-Office

Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Banjarbaru City Government ready to run the environmental office (Eco-Office) program as an effort to create an office environment that is clean, beautiful and healthy. 

Head of the Banjarbaru Environment Agency, Fahruddin, here on Wednesday said it had socialized Eco-Office as a national program to the agency or working unit (SKPD) leadership and they are expected to apply in their respective offices. 

"Eco Office" is a program that embodies environmental care implementation of environmental management systems in each office activities supported by the entire apparatus in it. 

"Practices that can be done such as saving electricity and water consumption, paper usage as efficiently as possible, also sorting garbage organic and non-organic types that can be used," he said. 

In addition, he said, no waste segregation, water absorption, bio pore including utilization of waste as the waste water used for watering plants and air conditioning organic waste is processed into fertilizer or compost. 

"Eco Office" is directed to modify the behavior of the apparatus concerned about the environment and start from the office, so the office can be an example for others and the community./e
