The 1008/Tanjung Military Command in Tabalong held light arm firing exercises for soldiers to optimize capability.
The 1008/Tanjung Military Commander (Dandim) Lt.Col.Inf. Ras Lambang Yudha said that shooting is the basic ability of every soldier, so it need to be continuously trained and honed.
"We hope the soldiers will be more adept at shooting after participating in this exercise," Ras Lambang remarked.
Light weapon shooting exercises were held at the Manunggul shooting range in Kasiau Village, Murung Pudak Sub-district, Tabalong.
This activity was one of programmed and planned training of personnel held every quarter. The soldiers were expected to improved their shooting abilities and to be maintained optimally through targeted training.
Training coordinator Captain Inf. Hartoto said shooting exercise was conducted optimally by prioritizing security. It also applied
the health protocol.
“Every soldier is required to wear a mask, wash hands before and after the activity, and to keep a distance between participants," said Hartoto.
The exercise was held for three days with different shooting material, including shooting with long barrel (M16) with one attitude and a distance of 100 meters and shooting with a gun (FN 46) with a distance of 10 meters.
