The South Kalimantan's Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in July 2020 stood at 98,87 up by 0,44 percent compared to June 98,44 due to the price index received and the price index paid by farmers fell.
"The price index received by farmers decreased by 0,02 percent, and the price index paid fell bigger by 0,47 percent," said South Kalimantan BPS Head M Edy Mahmud in Banjarbaru, Monday.
In a monthly virtual press conference through the South Kalimantan BPS's Youtube channel, he said there was a decline in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in the province in July by 0,68 percent from 106,40 to 105,68.
The increase in the combined NTP was due to the increase in the estate crops sub-sector NTT by 2,64 percent, livestock subsector 1,52 percent, and fisheries subsector 1,43 percent.
The farmers exchange rate in the food crops subsector (NTP-P) in July 101,79 or down 0,86 percent with the price index received by rice group falling 1,36 percent, and crops (palawija) falling 1,10 percent.
"The decline in the rice group was due to the coming of the harvest season of local variety of rice. The secondary crops group was mainly due to decrease price of corn, cassava, and peanuts," he said.
Horticulture subsector (NTP-H) in July 2020 reached 97,56 percent or down 1,75 percent due to lt fell 2,33 percent to 103,26, while Ib fell 0,60 percent to 105,84.
People's plantation plant subsector (NTP-TPR) reached 93,62 or up 2,64 percent due to lt increase 2,08 percent to 98,82, and Ib down 0,54 percent to 105,55.
Livestock subsector (NTP-TR) reached 102,20, increased by 1,52 percent, because of It rose by 1,51 percent, while Ib fell 0,01 percent. The July 2020 increase was due to all groups of price index rising.
The fisheries subsector (NTN-P) which reached 100,25 or rose 1,43 percent due to the index of capture fisheries group on average rose 1,38 percent, and aquaculture group dropped 0,20 percent.
Meanwhile, the ratio of NTP among the five provinces of Kalimantan, the highest NTP was East Kalimantan 108,25 percent followed by WestKalimantan 104,15 percent, North Kalimantan 102,04 percent. While Central Kalimantan 99,37 percent and South Kalimantan 98,87 percent.
If seen from the increase, West Kalimantan rose by 1,74 percent, East Kalimantan 1,15 percent, North Kalimantan 0,90 percent, Central Kalimantan 0,85 percent, and South Kalimantan 0,44 percent.
