Governor Sahbirin Noor supports efforts to organize land and prevent land mafia in South Kalimantan through the Agrarian and Spatial Ministry program.

Through the program, which including the granting of a free certificate, residents have legal certainty over their land right, said the governor in the socialization of preventing land mafia and symbolical handling over of land certificate in Banjarbaru, Wednesday.

Currently, hundreds of thousands of residents' land in South Kalimantan had been granted with free certificates. It is a program that should be grateful for.

"I thank you for the efforts of the Agrarian and Spatial Ministry with South Kalimantan provincial government in providing free land certificates and preventing land mafia," he remarked.

Especially, South Kalimantan as the gate of the prospective new state capital,as stated in the 2020–2024 RPJMN (National Medium-Term Development Plan), does not rule out the possibility of illegal games in land handling.

The governor continues to encourage citizens to handle their land certificates in accordance with the established procedures.

It was always conveyed by the governor in his visits to various corners of villages. He hopes the village head to help provide education about the importance of land certificates, be cautious and careful in the handling of the documents.

Head of South Kalimantan Office of the Agrarian and Spatial Ministry/National Land Agency Alen Saputra said 70 percent of land in South Kalimantan was not yet certified.

This year the agency targets three thousand parcels of land to have their certificates completed and to be distributed through a comprehensive systematic registration program (PTSL).

"Today symbolically four land certificates are distributed out of a total of 12 thousand certificates," he said.
