South Kalimantan government announced a surge by 82 of patients recovered from COVID-19 to bring the tally to 539 as of Thursday June 25, 2020.
Spokesman of the South Kalimantan Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 HM Muslim here said they were 15 from the Special Quarantine of Bapelkes Banjarbaru, 24 from the Special Quarantine of Ambulung Banjarbaru, and three previously treated in the Regional Hospital of Ulin Banjarmasin.
Then nine from the Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin Hospital, six from independent isolation in Banjar District, four from a quarantine in Tanah Laut, 18 from a quarantine in Kotabaru, and three from the District Hospital (RSUD) of Datu Sanggul Rantau.
Governor Sahbirin Noor when saw off the recovered patients in Ansyari Saleh Hospital invited the entire community together to fight the coronavirus. Namely by applying health protocol correctly, no crowding, wearing masks, and always maintain health by exercising regularly.
The growing number of recovering COVID-19 patients in South Kalimantan was welcomed enthusiastically by the governor by visiting the places of treatment, both in the hospitals and in the quarantine.
Director of Ansari Saleh Hospital Izaak Zoelkarnain said some of the recovered patients were the hospital's medical staff.
"The large number of patients being cured, including medical staff. It is very encouraging news. We will ask them to immediately rejoin helping health service in the hospital," he said.
