One more patient has recovered from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, to bring the number to eight.

"Today one more patient has recovered. (She is) an internship doctor who previously have been treated in Kandangan," said the spokesman of Tabalong Task Force for the Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 Taufiqurrahman Hamdie, Thursday.

The patient was declared recovered after being swab tested for twice and all with negative results.

Two days before, Taufik reported that three health workers had been exposed to corona. "Two of them from a hospital and one from a community health center (puskesmas)," he said on Tuesday.

A total confirmed positive patients in the district has reached 57, seven of them had recovered, 46 in treatment, and four died.

Taufik said, the three medical workers have all had no symptoms and are undergoing independent quarantine.

While positive patients being treated in the local Tanjung Hospital are 36, three in Ulin Regional Hospital in Banjarmasin, and one in the Hasan Basri Kandangan Hospital.

Six other positive patients undergoing self-quarantine.
