Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Some members of the Kotabaru DPRD conduct comparative studies to Surabaya, East Java, who won the title of "City of the Future" to be used as a reference for the development of the local town.
Member of Commission II Kotabaru DPRD Hj Alamaturadiah on Wednesday said, the team wanted to get the information directly from Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini about the government organize and administer the city to be nice and is recognized not only domestically but also internationally.
Surabaya won numerous awards as the best city on world level. It recently won the 2014 Socrates Award at category "City of the Future" from Europe Business Assembly in London on 16 April 2014.
In a working visit in Surabaya from 21 to 25 April there are so many things examined to be references, of which from the City Government, Agriculture Agency, Transportation Agency and the Surabaya DPRD, said Hj Atul.
According to her the success of Surabaya is no doubt, as evidenced by the conferring of awards from national to international level.
Also in plantation, Surabaya showed good results. For example, the sugar cane plantations bring prosperity not only for investors but also farmers.
"We want to know how the issue between the companies as investors with farmers as partners , so that each benefit and fair and proportionate revenue," said Hj Atul.
In addition, she said, there is still much to be learned from City of Heroes.
