The COVID-19 pandemic does not choose the class and age. In fact, not a few toddlers are infected with COVID-19.

Pediatrician of the Datu Sanggul District Hospital of Tapin, dr Budianto Sp, A said the most cases of coronavirus spread to infants are infected from their own families.

"Indeed, most of toddlers are infected from family or home environment people," he said when he met at the child room of the hospital, Tuesday.

As it happened in Banjarbaru City, a 1.6-year-old toddler was infected with COVID-19 which came from a parent.

"Indeed children under five years of age have weak immunity, thus they are very susceptible to infection with any virus," he said.

He admitted COVID-19 spread very quickly from human to human and anyone could possibly be infected.

"So for mother who breastfeeds try to use a mask, even though she feels in a healthy condition," he said.
