Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Kotabaru Public Work's Cipta Karya received funding from the state budget amounting to Rp900 million to develop Settlements Development Strategy and Urban Infrastructure (SPPIP) programs fiscal year 2014.

"The Kotabaru government needs strategic steps in the development of urban settlements and infrastructure," said Head of Kotabaru's Cipta Karya Agency H Akhmad Rival on Monday.

Preparation of SPPIP, Rival said, serves as a reference in implementing development programs of settlements and urban infrastructure, so it can be integrated with other development programs already exist. SPPIP also serves as the parent document of all planning documents of sectoral programs in Cipta Karya.

The state budget, he said, prioritises areas that already have SPPIP/RPKPP document in the infrastructure budget
provision. In addition it is a reference in the preparation of the Medium Term Plan Investment Program (RPIJM).

Output from SPPIP, added Rival, will produce a document that contains, among other indications of the direction of
development of the city, the construction of settlements, and urban infrastructure.
