Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - PKP2B PT Arutmin reclamation area in Subdistrict Satui, Tanah Bumbu, was destroyed allegedly for illegal mining (PETI).
External Affairs Superintendent of PT Arutmin Banjarmasin Branch, Kadarusmawan, here on Thursday said the destruction of the reclamation was known from a routine patrol by an internal security team some time ago.
At first, the illegal mining activities are still outside the area of PT Arutmin Satui, precisely at the point S3 39 ' 33.81 " E 115 20 ' 54.69 " . However, on January 8, 2014, it had entered the illegal area at the coordinates of E3 37 ' 47.68 " S115 22 ' 43.21 " and is in the Pit area Gatotkaca.
Unmitigated, miners were openly using heavy equipment and deploy number of trucks for coal transportation.
For the incident, internal security had met directly with the miners and has been doing eviction.
According to Kadarusmawan, this February , the internal security again found a new location in the reclamation area
of PKP2B PT Arutmin, precisely at the point S 3 39 ` 23:23 ' E 115 21 ` 03:15 " Pit Abhimanyu.
The damage also occur at point S 3 40 ' 28.16 " E 115 21 ` 04:31 " and it is located at the coordinates areas of Pit Bishma.
"The activity if not secured by the police, later could cause loss for the state as well as violating the Mining Law No. 4 of 2009," he said.
PT Arutmin Mine Satui have reported the illegal activity to the Tanah Bumbu District Police and forwarded to South Kalimantan Regional Police , as well as to the Directorate General of Mineral and Ministry of Energy, and to the Tanah Bumbu Mines and Energy Agency.
"We expect activity in the area PKP2B PT Arutmin can be quickly dealt with and followed up by local police firm action against the perpetrators or masterminds of this destruction," he said.
