The state high vocational school of SMKN 1 Paringin students have recorded another achievement at the National Scientific Writing Contest (LKTI) held by the University of Lambung Mangkurat Banjarmasin.

Automatic door with fingerprints by Misransyah and Agung Heru, two students majoring in electrical power installation engineering, won the best predicate with a total score of 586.

The door will open automatically with the identification of the owner's fingerprint. "If there are strangers the alarm will sound and SMS will be sent to the owner's cellphone," said Misransyah, as the team leader.

Previously, the SMKN 1 Paringin electricity team made an online presentation considering the coronavirus outbreak but did not reduce the judging team's evaluation standards.

At the National LKTI, the electricity from 'Bumi Sanggam' (Balangan District) also sent other work, automatic porch lamps and won second place with a score of 570.

The lamp, scientific work of M. Alif Kasyafi and M Alpin Faiz, will dim if there are no people and lights up when there are people.

Supervisor teacher of the SMKN 1 Paringin electricity team Izzudin Syarif said, previously the scientific work of Alif dan Alpin had made a good name of the school in the provincial level of LKTI held by UIN Antasari Banjarmasin in February 2020.

In the same month, the SMKN 1 Paringin students with their work safeguarding household appliances from the possibility of electricity drop won the 10 best in the national contest held by the Semen Indonesia International University (UISI) in Gresik, East Java.
