Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The price of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) of oil palm plantations in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, from January crawl up from Rp1,000 to Rp1.300 per kg. 

A farmer in South Kelumpang, Kotabaru, Shaleh on Sunday, said the current price of fresh fruit bunches Rp1.300 per kg. "In December the price of Rp 1,000 per kg TBS, then rose to Rp1.050 per kg, then rose again to Rp1.100 per kg and was last up Rp1.300 per kg," he said with a happy face. 

According a farmer whose origin from Lamongan, in addition to the price rise, TBS sales recently relatively easy and also paid fast. 

He said, the merchants were a little hard to get before and reluctant to take the fruit into the garden, and the proceeds of the sale paid of a week later by the merchant. But lately, traders ready to take to the plantation, and immediately pay TBS after being weighed at the site of the plantation. 

"With the rising price of TBS and it easy sell increasing farmers' income and excited for gardening palm oil," he explained. 

The same increase in revenue experienced by oil palm plasma farmers, their income from January also increased dramatically, from Rp1,9 million to Rp 4,3 million per ha. 

Supervisory Board member of Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) Gajah Mada, Kelumpang Hilir, Narso, said, the income generated by the plasma increase over the period of January to December 2013. Revenue for local plasma Block C Rp2,3 million per ha, Block B Rp2,2 million per hectare, SP II Rp1,9 million per ha, and Cantung and Block E, respectively Rp3 million per hectare.
