The Barito Kuala District's Vocational Training Center (BLK) produces 150 face-masks to be distributed for free to the Disaster Mitigation Agency to help them protect themselves from the COVID-19 virus attack.

Head of the Barito Kuala (Batola) Man Power Office Hasbi in Marabahan, the capital of Batola, said on Saturday (March 28, 2020), that the mask-making activity has been going on for several days.

In one day, he said, BLK can produce as many as 150 pieces of mask, using the main material of oxford cotton type fabric.

The mask production was done because of the concern about the scarcity of masks that occurred in almost all parts of South Kalimantan at this time.

"If it has been collected, we will distribute the mask for free to the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) officers who are carrying out their duties," he said.

The Barito Kuala District's BLK which is supported by tailors who are facilitated by 16 sewing machines, he said, will produce as many masks as possible.
