The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Regent H Achmad Fikry, Tuesday (March 17, 2020) declared emergency alert on Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the district.
He said as we are still on emergency alert status, so the learning process at school is still proceeding as usual. He directed the head of the Education Agency to keep on monitoring.
“If any child is sick, immediately recommend to the public health center and send home," he remarked in the coordination meeting to contain the outbreak of COVID-19.
To anticipate things undesirable, the steps taken by the school is to shorten the break time so as not to hang out long. Likewise, the learning time, so students can go home early.

The HSS government also agreed to form a task force chaired by the district secretary and involved all components. It will meet to take steps forward.
The emergency alert started Tuesday (March 17) for the next half month. The next step depends on the result of the evaluation conducted by the task force.
“The principle is prevention. If there is a patient should be handled, the District Hospital of Brigjen H Hasan Basry is ready,” he said.
This stipulation is not separated from the issuance of President Joko Widodo's decision No 7/2020 concerning the task force for the acceleration of prevention of COVID-19.
The coordination meeting was not only to establish the task force but to hear input and information from the regional apparatus organization (OPD) related to the handling of COVID-19, which is now become the national and global problems.
Also present were Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, Deputy Police Chief Comr Arif Himawan, HSS Regional Leadership Coordination Forum Pimpinan (Forkopimda), assistants, expert staff, OPD heads, and heads of sub-districts throughout HSS.
