Regent H Achmad Fikry said, in 2019 the South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District had won 36 national awards and 170 provincial awards.
He said, various successes of development during 2019 were due to the support of all parties. One of which was Human Development Index (HDI) of the district rose to 69,41 from 68,41 in 2018.
"Life expectancy in HSS had also risen to 66,05 from 65,59 in 2018. Likewise the average length of schooling in 2019 rose to 8 in 2019 from 7,72 in 2018," he remarked when he delivered the 2019 accountability report (LKPj) to DPRD, Monday (March 16, 2020).

He also revealed that the district road with good condition in 2019 along 859,36 kilometer, with details 545,04 kilometers already paved and 393,89 kilometers in good condition.
The HSS also succeeded in increasing the Gross Enrollment Rate (APK) and Pure Participation rate (APM) of elementary school students in 2019, namely 85,12 percent APK and 72,88 percent APM.
In health, Infant Mortality Rate (AKB) has been reduced to 22 per 1000 birth from the target of 23 percent.
In improving welfare, the district has realized 6,14 persent of economic growth from the target of 6,23 percent in 2019 RPJMD (the Regional Medium Term Development Planning).
"We also have succeeded in realizing a 5,21 percent reduction in the poverty rate from the target of 5,14 percent," he said.

Meanwhile, the realization of the district income as of December 31, 2019, amounted to Rp1.494.259.423.038, exceeding Rp110.439.964.840 or 107, 98 percent, compared to the target Rp1.383.819.458.198.
Head of the HSS DPRD H Akhmad Fahmi said the LKPj was a report on the accountability of the regional government for one budget year based on the Regional Government work Plan (RKPD) in the form of development results and services to the public.
"We all certainly hope that the development and services carried out by the Regent of HSS and the ranks of the government of HSS to the community to continue to improve the welfare of the people," he said
